Priya David Clemens is the host of KQED Newsroom, the long running PBS TV news discussion program. On the multiple Emmy-award winning program, Priya interviews political leaders, authors, scientists, doctors, artists, athletes and more in discussions that go beyond the headlines to inform and illuminate.
Priya is a veteran storyteller with more than 15 years of television news experience as an anchor and reporter at a variety of outlets, including CBS National News, NBC National News, MSNBC, and local stations including KTVU, KQED, KOIN, and WVTM.
Priya’s extensive broadcast journalism background had her crisscrossing the country and the globe to cover stories that range from presidential politics to climate change to technological advancement.
Priya holds an M.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California, a B.A. in Anthropology from Westmont College, and an I.B. from the International School of Brussels.
She lives near San Francisco.
Having served as the Public Affairs Director for the Golden Gate Bridge for several years, Priya still often tells the Bridge's stories.
